The Marape-Steven Government is adamant to bridge the missing Sepik-Enga link by road during its term in office.

This is one of the projects which is high on its development agenda list.

The government has already allocated K7 million in this year’s Budget after the road project was registered.

The Mulitaka-Maramuni-Ambuti missing link under the National Transport Plan, netted the funding.

Previously, Wabag District Development Authority funded it solely.

Wabag MP and, the Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources Dr Tom Lino said his DDA designed the scope for the road.

WDDA has already constructed more than 25 kilometers of the road with its own fleet of machinery. The road is reaching Maramuni.

Local MP was commenting on a Facebook post enquiring about the proposed highway.

Thus, Minister Tom responded: “Works Department has already registered the Mulitaka-Maramuni-Ambunti Missing Link under the National Transport Plan. Thank you.”
