The country’s media fraternity is mourning the passing of Isaac Nicholas this morning.

He passed away at the age of 52 whilst being employed with Post Courier as the political editor.

Announcing his death today, Post Courier management said: “It is with a heavy heart that the Post-Courier announces the passing of longtime senior journalist and Political Editor Isaac Nicholas.

“Isaac was a journalist with the Post-Courier for over 15 years and contributed immensely to our organization.

We pass our sincere condolences to his wife and five children for the loss of a father, friend, colleague and mentor.

Isaac was 52 years old and was from East Sepik Province.”

Journalists are flooding Facebook with their condolences and good old memories.

Wanpis Ako, NCDC PR Manager, remembered Nicholas as a pillar of democracy.
