PNG DEPLOYS SECURITY PERSONNEL TO SI
Papua New Guinea has deployed 35 security personnel to assist restore order in Solomon Islands’ capital, Honiara as rioting continues into second day.

Sources close to PM said the personnel included 20 special police force and 15 correctional servicemen.
PM Marape said the deployment of security personnel stemmed from a formal request for assistance from PM Manasseh.
Additionally, Australia has sent over 60 Federal Police and Defense Force Personnel.
PNG Security personnel have already boarded a flight to Honiara. They are due to touch down this evening.

Angry protestors burnt down several buildings and looted shops.
He responded that SI Parliament could vote him out.
PM Manasseh in his address to the nation said police would identify culprits and face the full force of law.
