PNG TRAINING CAMP ILLEGAL: OPM
Operassi Papua Merdeka (OPM) has distanced itself from what it calls an illegal OPM rebels’ training camp in East Sepik’s Maprik.
OPM Chairman Jeffrey Bomanak said this militia was a work of Indonesian Government sympathisers. https://postcourier.com.pg/indonesia-intelligence-aware-of-group/
“We had a similar situation in 2009 when our struggle for political independence was gaining momentum amongst the international community.
In a video recently, a group of men claimed that they were recruiting PNG citizens to help OPM rebels fight Indonesian Army for political freedom.
In addition, he said it was a plot to throw mud at Free West Papua campaign that is gaining unprecedented momentum globally.
Further, Mr Bomanak calls on PNG authorities to investigate it and arrest the culprits.
Furthermore, he stated that he welcomed a joint investigation by PNG authorities to clamp down on the purported military group.

Genuine West Papuans residing in PNG, he said, are helping a joint government team in Wewak. That is to identify and track down those who produced the video. https://pngsun.com/amp/2021/05/08/police-investigate-west-papua-support/
Also, these people in a video are not PNG citizens but West Papuans residing in East and West Sepik. I’m calling on PNG police to arrest and charge them.
“These West Papuans in the video are not genuine and they are a security threat to PNG.
