POLICE INVESTIGATE WEST PAPUA SUPPORT
East Sepik police in Papua New Guinea are gathering necessary information to verify and start investigating an armed group.
The armed group in East Sepik Province publicly announced its support to West Papua Liberation Army in a video widely circulated on social media.

Their support comes at a time when the Indonesian armed forces are carrying out a full scale operation against the freedom fighters.

East Sepik Police Commander, Albert Beli said a commanding officer manning Indonesia-PNG border, has alerted him about it.
Thus, he said they have engaged intelligence officers to verify the report and investigate it.
