Upon taking his seat in Government Bench, Speaker Pomat gave him five minutes to address the Parliament. It was his first sitting in Parliament in four years.

Polye said he forgave everyone who played a part in his election rigging in 2017 General Elections.
In addition, he commended the people of Kandep and other citizens for their patience and support.
Further, he stated his victory had proven all odds wrong, setting a precedent in the country.
Furthermore, Polye stated the rigging of elections is the biggest problem which PNG Electoral Commission is responsible for.
PNG Electoral Commissioner is not in the right state of mind to conduct the 2022 General Elections,” he told Parliament.
He took the Government to task so it starts to understake reforms during the reminder of this term in Parliament. Thus, 2022 General Elections should be a free, fair and safe election as intended for.
He cited that he became a victim of the weaknesses in Electoral system, saying the Government should address the issue.
