That is in relation to the passing of Justice Nicholas Kirriwom on February 23rd.

His family and relatives admitted him at PIH. Chief Justice Gibbs Salika has expressed concerns on why PIH management demanded an upfront fee of K25,000.

Additionally, Salika also questioned the merit of foreign doctors working there.https://www.thenational.com.pg/hospital-questioned-over-judges-death/

Further, he called on the PNG Medical Board to look into matter.

Responding to Justice Salika, in a media statement, PIH said it ensured their doctors give patients right care.
In addition, it said they did not hold any treatment for the want of fees.

For the late Justice Kirriwom, PIH said they attended to him immediately.
