SIR J TO SUE SCHNAUBELT
The New Ireland Government is undertaking a full investigation. That is to establish whether it should sue local Namatanai MP, Walter Schnaubelt and his associates over an alleged destruction of State properties.
The intensive investigation will include proper legal affidavits from government officials and agents.
In a media release, the local provincial government alleged that Schnaubelt was responsible for the demolition of the Seeto Council Chamber and the Solar Power installation in Namatanai in August this year. The destruction has caused a bitter public outcry in New Ireland against him.
The statement said they would refer Schnaubelt to the appropriate authorities. At the moment, PEC Members have requested that he be suspended from attending proceedings of the assembly.
“This is disgraceful and the work of a mad man motivated by hatred and Nazism in the National Alliance leadership in New Ireland. Now they are trying to disturb and dislocate the peace and sanity in Kavieng,” said the Leader of Government Business and PEC Chairman for Law and Order, Edwin Maingen.
“Leadership comes with power and responsibility but New Ireland under NA has introduced a Red political propaganda tool reminiscence of the Nazi Red Army and gestapo tactics,” said Maingen.
“Schnaubelt is servant of the people who put him there. He is not above the law and must face consequences of his destructive and insulting malicious behaviors,” concluded Maingen.
