VITAL SERVICES TO HELA SUSPENDED
Vital service providers in the resource-rich Hela Province are pulling their plug due to current gun-fight between the police and local warlords.
Local media reports that several schools and BSP Branch in the province suspended their services.
Tightening the grip, Air Niugini’s Link PNG, has suspended all its services to Tari Airport this week.
In a media statement by Air Niugini Management, the decision to suspend flights was made following recent law and order issues in the area.
Passengers, who have been ticketed to travel, are advised to change your travel to the next available flight without penalties, the airliner said.
Link PNG normally operates three weekly flights to Tari, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
