CLOSURE NOTICE AGAINST DFC LIFTED
The municipal health authority this morning lifted an indefinite closure against Koki Delicious Fried Chicken (DFC) outlet after recommended improvements were met satisfactorily.
The shop was closed indefinitely last Friday following a health investigation.
The investigation stemmed from a food complaint that chicken pieces bought from the shop was giving off foul smell and tasted unwholesome for human consumption.
Environmental Health Officer, Abraham Keple said they served the resumption notice after having learnt that the shop management has done impressive improvements.
In the closure notice, NCDC Health Authority has made recommendation comprising of:
1. Temperature of food warmer should be stabilised to avoid deterioration of chicken taste;
2. Stop frying chicken excessively;
3. Adhere to Covid-19 protocols, and;
4. Ensure food handlers are properly attired and their personal hygiene maintained.
Mr Keple said all these recommendations were complied with; thus, the opening notice.
How is the COVID situation over there?
