PANGU CANDIDATE WIDENS LEADING MARGIN
A ruling Pangu Party candidate is comfortably maintaining his commanding lead with 8,107 primary votes in the Moresby North-West By-election counting.

Lohia Boe Samuel is leading with 15,386 votes. Arch rival and United Labour Party’s Joe Tonde is trailing on the second spot with 7,279 votes.
As of last night, Samuel polled 13,236 primary votes to maintain his lead. Second placed Joe Tonde and Sengol Alphonse Parkop were on 4,903 and 3,322 votes respectively.
During continuation of the primary count today, Samuel polled 2,150 more primary votes in wards 1, 7,8, 10 and 11.
According to unofficial information, the total el stands at 29,611 plus 1 primary votes.
