A Bomana prison escapee was recaptured by NCD Police yesterday.

Police said in a Facebook post said Ala prison escapee’s quest for freedom ended yesterday when the law finally caught up with him.

Lailai Numa, a male adult from Goilala, in Central, was remanded for murder, when he escaped from the Bomana prison last year.

Detectives of Central Police acted on a tip-off and pounced on the elusive Numa at Sabama yesterday.

PPC Central Superintendent John Midi heaped praise on his men for their outstanding achievement.

The PPC said his members will consult the NCD Metropolitan Command and file fresh charges on Numa, before his resumption at Bomana prison.
